Tune Updates and Revisions
This article covers the process of tune updates and revisions. It is split into multiple workflows depending on a few factors.
Original Purchaser
You have our support as the original owner of a tune from Quadstar Tuning!
Issues with a new tune?
We got you covered, just make sure you let us know! We'll get a ticket open to track the issue and work with you to figure out the best plan of action. We can't help you with a problem we don't know about and we'd like to know about it within the first couple weeks after installation. Otherwise, we assume you are a happy camper!
We're going to make sure you followed the instructions and checked/set your timing first so be sure to review those articles separately, please. Not every issue is the tunes fault.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
All tunes are satisfaction guaranteed within a reasonable time from delivery. We ask that you alert us of any issues within 2 weeks of delivery and give us at least one chance to revise it to your satisfaction.
Tune revisions for the Original Purchaser
If you need updates to your existing tune or tuner, these will be billed at estimated hourly rates depending on the changes required.
Here are some examples of what may fit into this category:
Changing turbos
Doing vacuum pump delete on a tune that was previously for vacuum wastegate
Swapping to manual trans
5521 <> 5068 injection pump swap
*all updates must be performed to the original hardware from the order (chip, tuner or PCM)
**Major changes may require all new tuning as "edits" won't account for everything. Many Beast pump upgrades may fall into this category.
Second Hand Purchaser
If you got a tune from a 3rd party and are not the original purchaser, it's likely we'll consider the chip or PCM a core return only. Some exceptions may apply so be sure to inquire about your specific situation and we'll see what's possible.
