• Scan Tool Usage

  • We change the base calibration code to the latest published by GM. This causes a small compatibility issue that is easy to work around

    • If you do not, the scan tool will connect but all the data will be erroneous. Coolant temp of 300*F for example.

  • If your truck is a 1996 or 1997

    • You must manually perform vehicle selection whenever using a scan tool. Do NOT auto recognize by VIN

    • Specify 1998, 1999, or 2000 as the model year

      • Specify K2500 6.5L 4WD as the vehicle

  • If your truck is 1998 or newer

    • You can proceed normally with scan tool usage

• Injection Pump Timing (TDCO OFFSET)

  • Extra steps may be necessary due to PCM replacement. See the attached file for more information
