heater core return relocation on radiator

Welcome to our Heater Hose Installation Guide! In this article, we will walk you through the process of properly connecting your heater hoses for optimal performance. Whether you're a seasoned mechanic or a DIY enthusiast, this guide will help you navigate the installation with ease.

Understanding Your Heater Hoses

Your vehicle's heating system relies on two main heater hoses. It's important to know which hose to leave untouched and which one to modify for a successful installation.

Identifying the Hoses

There are two heater core hoses to consider:

  • The first hose runs from the thermostat housing to the heater core. This hose should remain as is, so leave it alone.

  • The second hose connects the heater core to the passenger side tank of the radiator. This is the hose you will be working with.

Modifying the Second Hose

To connect the second hose properly, you have a couple of options:

  1. Get a coupling to add additional hose length to the existing hose.

  2. Alternatively, you can purchase a new hose and run it around the back of your intake to the driver's side coolant tank on the radiator.

Final Steps

Once you have made the necessary connections, everything else should remain the same as stock. Don't forget to plug the port that you will not be using; a plug is included with your kit.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your heater hoses are installed correctly, providing you with a reliable heating system. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at Quadstar Tuning LLC!
